Why another metrics tool?
If you run a small SaaS, you've probably done this: open Stripe, scroll through a list of charges, try to figure out your MRR in a spreadsheet, and give up halfway through.
I know because I've been there.
Most metrics tools are built for teams with a data engineer and a BI budget. They want OAuth access to your Stripe account, a monthly subscription, and a 30-minute onboarding call. That's fine if you're a 50-person company. But if you're a solo founder with 40 customers, it feels like overkill.
What MetricMint does differently
MetricMint takes a simpler approach. You export a CSV from Stripe (something you can already do in two clicks), upload it, and get a clean monthly metrics pack: MRR, churn, ARPU, expansion, contraction, and cohort retention.
No API keys. No OAuth. No dashboard you'll never open.
What's next
We're just getting started. Over the coming weeks, I'll be writing about:
- How to calculate MRR from Stripe data (the manual way, then the easy way)
- What metrics actually matter when you're pre-$10K MRR
- How to write a monthly investor update that takes 5 minutes, not 50
If any of that sounds useful, give MetricMint a try. It's free during beta.
